a sooner club introduction
An experience often described by its members as the “inner circle to OU Athletics,” the Sooner Club provides foundational resources for nearly 600 student-athletes. The positive impact Sooner Club members have on OU Athletics and our student-athletes is vital to our success, and we thank you for being on our team. With Sooner Club members supporting one-third of the Athletics' annual budget, you are part of a transformational group of passionate Sooners who are key players for OU Athletics now and in the future.
A member's total annual giving determines the membership level. Sooner Club members earn points through gifts made to OU Athletics. This includes gifts made for home game seating and other philanthropic gifts designated to OU Athletics.
A dual-point system is used to allow for tax deductible giving options. The two point systems include Sooner Points & Championship Points.

What are sooner points? |
what are championship points? |
Sooner Points are earned through opportunities including priority seat gifts, years of purchasing season tickets and attendance points. Priority seat gifts are non-tax deductible.
Benefits allocated based on Sooner Points will result in all members being ranked in descending order. Home season and single game tickets are allocated using Sooner Points. |
Championship Points are earned through priority seat gifts and tax deductible giving opportunities including gifts to the Inspiring Champions Fund, facility projects, scholarship endowments and planned giving.
Benefits allocated by Championship Points result in all members being ranked by membership level first, and then Championship Points within the level. Non-home ticket benefits are allocated using Championship Points. These benefits include the Red River Showdown, gameday parking, away games and postseason tickets for all sports. These benefits are reallocated each year and may not be the same from year to year. |
