Championship Giving
Beyond the early renewal incentives your accustomed to seeing, we have worked to make giving easier and more beneficial for those going the extra mile to support OU Athletics. Now those making a philanthropic gift to a facility project, scholarship, or the Inspiring Champions Fund (including the optional gift noted on your invoice) will receive three (3) points per $100. These points earned will remain on your account for life. Point changes will be reflective by the end of the 2022 renewal period in April 2022. |

WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS CHANGE?
This enhancement is a way to streamline and simplify our philanthropic giving structure. With all philanthropic gifts being calculated at 3 pts per $100, all philanthropic fundraising initiatives (Facilities, Scholarships, ICF & Planned Giving) will live under one umbrella with one point structure. Most importantly, this process will incentivize members that continue to go above and beyond to provide the resources for our student-athletes to excel at the highest levels on and off the field.
WHat about my previous giving?
Sooner Club members who have made a gift to a facility project, scholarship, or the Inspiring Champions Fund since January 2017 will receive points retroactively in April 2022.
What do my championship points help with?
WHY Should i make an investment in ou athletics?
Gifts that are made each year to the Sooner Club help provide approximately 30% of the overall funding for OU Athletics. Gifts to key areas of focus ensure that our nearly 600 student-athletes have the resources to excel on the field while earning a degree from the University of Oklahoma. While receiving no funding from the state of Oklahoma or student fees, OU Athletics relies on the support of over 14,000 members to ensure we pursue championships in all of our athletic programs.

Renew early, get additional points!
In addition to new ways to give to key initiatives, we have worked to make giving easier for those supporting OU Athletics. Early renewal bonus points are available for those who renew in full or opt into a monthly payment schedule before or on the dates noted in the chart. Monthly Payment Schedules Your Sooner Club membership renewal can be made with an extended pay schedule, to be completed prior to the April 30 deadline. Your Sooner Club donation can be made on your preferred date of each month. By scheduling your payment you will also be eligible to receive the early renewal bonus point incentive. How Can I Receive the Most Points Possible with my Renewal? Renew your Sooner Club membership in full or opt into a payment schedule prior to November 30 and include the Optional Gift amount located on your renewal. By doing so, you will receive 150 bonus Championship Points and 100 Sooner Points! |

The Inspiring Champions Fund provides the resources necessary for our student-athletes to excel academically and in competition. This gift is 100% tax deductible, achieves 3 points per $100 on top of the 50 bonus Championship Points for 2022.
