Last Updated on: October 25, 2020

We are one month away from Sooner Basketball returning to the Lloyd Noble Center, and we are excited to invite you back to join us!

We continue to work closely with top medical experts to ensure we are making decisions that are in the best interest of our student-athletes, stakeholders, and university. As of today, we anticipate the seating capacity of the Lloyd Noble Center to be at or below 25% for the 2020-21 Basketball season. Please note, seating capacities are subject to change.

Gameday Experience
Similar to allocations for football, basketball season ticket holders will be allocated in family pods at the Lloyd Noble Center.  Pods will be allocated with appropriate distancing measures to other patrons to provide the safest environment possible with groups of 2, 4, and 6.

The MidFirst Bank Courtside Club and Tip In Club hospitality areas will be unavailable this season but grab and go menu offerings will be available for purchase at concessions stands throughout the arena.

With the help of campus and other local state health officials, our team has been busy planning and preparing for a safe game day environment for our student-athletes, fans, and staff. Below is information on ways we are preparing for you to be back with us at the Lloyd Noble Center.

• Reduced seating capacity
• Mobile Tickets will be scanned for a touchless experience
• All cashless experience - vendors will accept all major credit cards and apple pay
• Increased sanitation before, during, and after events
• Plexi-barriers present at all concession stands
• All game day staff to clear health screenings prior to entering arena and must wear personal protective equipment while in the arena.
• Appropriate cloth or surgical-style masks that cover the nose and mouth completely will be required at all times while on campus and in the Lloyd Noble Center

How Tickets will be Allocated
Gameday at the Lloyd Noble Center will be different this year, but our fans provide the home court advantage our team needs as we face what is often considered one of the most challenging conferences in the country. Due to the uniqueness of this season and to thank you for investing in OU Athletics future, Sooner Club members who’ve made basketball related gifts will receive a tax deduction for their previously made gift with their gift being reallocated to the Sooner Relief Fund. As a benefit to Sooner Relief Fund gifts, members will receive 5x the Championship Points as compared to their original gift for this year as well as a bonus credit for 2020 and 2021 membership benefits.

For this season, Big 12 officials have required a 20-foot distance requirement from patrons to the court which will result in the elimination of courtside and retractable (RW1-RW5 and RE1-RE5) seats. Season ticket holders who normally sit in these locations will be able to receive tickets in LE1-LE6 or LW1-LW6.
Anyone with health-related concerns created by the COVID19 pandemic may opt out of the season with no penalty to their seating location for the 2021-2022 season.  You may choose to re-allocate unused funds to the Sooner Relief Fund or apply them towards your 2021 Sooner Club contribution.

We sincerely appreciate your flexibility and understanding of the recent adjustments made to the 2020-21 season. We realize each decision made has a direct impact on you, but we remain confident that we will continue to navigate these unprecedented times together.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Sooner Club at 405.325.8000.
